It is good to remember that Spiritual Seekers in the past struggled to attain Higher States of Consciousness. One such example is illustrated below.
 

The Path of Maharishi Mehi

After following several Masters, Maharishi Mehi was Initiated in 1914 by Baba Devi Sahab into the Meditative practice of Sant Mat.

However, he was instructed by his Master not to practice the Yoga of Sound for ten years but instead practice only the Yoga of Light.

After the passing of his Master, Mehi maintained his discipline of long meditations, some of which lasted many months at a time.

Years later he discovered a secluded cave and practiced intensely the Yoga of Sound. After meditating resolutely from March of 1933 to November of 1934, Maharishi Mehi attained Enlightenment.

Back then, only totally devoted followers of Masters had any chance of receiving Grace. Many spent their lives on Mantras without glimpsing Light or hearing any Sound. Only a carefully chosen few received Initiations and were able to Meditate on these Energies. And from those, exceptional Seekers occasionally attained Enlightenment.

Today the Spiritual Hierarchy have had to take unprecedented action, in order to redress the delicate balance of Energies on our Planet. As a consequence, Spirituality has become available to the masses, as this Path of Light and Sound clearly demonstrates.

We are fortunate to be alive at this auspicious time, to be able to witness this Miracle. As Initiates, we are each playing a crucial part in this incredible event….the Ascension of Human Consciousness.
