After the First Initiation, Meditators will not always remain as members of the Group. They may drift for a variety of reasons; some are outside our control others we can address.
Usually if a Meditator has gone deep into the Spiritual Energies they will want to remain and pursue the Path to Enlightenment. However, if they experience very little Light and Sound on their Initiation day then they may think Initiation is just an effect of the Techniques.
If the Meditator is only after experiences and is not a true Seeker then again they are likely to be disappointed and will leave. People who have been members of many other groups often fall into this category. They flit from one group to another collecting information and techniques not wanting to surrender to the Truth.
Occasionally someone will return home, in a state of great excitement, to their family and share their experiences, expecting them to want to be Initiated. Sometimes this backfires and the family sense a louss of control and forbid the Initiate from going back to the group and also from Meditating.
We can only do our best and make sure that the person asking for Initiation knows what they are asking for. We need to prepare them as much as possible, by teaching them how to meditate on their breath and with a Mantra. The Path should be explained, particularly the 3 stages culminating in Enlightenment. They should also be told about the Source of the Spiritual Energies and the raising of the Planetary Consciousness.
During the day of Initiation it is important that Initiating Adepts don’t rush the process. Take time to relax the meditators (see Initiation Schedule). After receiving the Energies it is important to answer questions, dispel doubts and give good practical advice regarding Meditation on the Light and Sound.
Before a new Initiate leaves it is important to make sure we have their contact details and have in place a support network to check on their progress from time to time. They should be given a Mentor and also the names of the various websites. These sites will help them feel part of an established group, give tips and advice regarding Meditation and hopefully act as a source of inspiration.
As they will not have been charged for the Initiation there is an opportunity for the new Initiate to “Pay it Forward.” This can be done by bringing along, and taking care of new people. Alternatively they can do service within their community.
Finally, we should ensure that the Meditator knows how to channel Love to the Planet and explain this should be done for 5 minutes each day. Then, if they do drift, at least they will be supporting the Higher Cause.
